ABOUT THIS WATCH

The Ironclad was built around a simple idea: the mechanics of a watch are part of its appeal, not something to hide. Every gear, bridge, and rotor component sits in open view, turning the act of checking the time into a small daily encounter with mechanical engineering.

The case is constructed in brushed stainless steel, with a skeletonized dial that exposes the automatic movement from the front, and an exhibition caseback that reveals it again from the back. The Hardlex crystal protects the dial while preserving full visibility into the architecture beneath it, and the genuine leather strap brings a tactile contrast to the precision on display.

For those who appreciate watches that reward a second look, the Ironclad works as easily with a daily uniform as it does with a more considered outfit, offering a quiet technical statement rather than a loud one.

Open-Worked Dial Construction

The dial is fully open-worked, exposing the gear train, balance components, and bridges that normally remain hidden beneath a solid face. This construction turns the watch face itself into a window onto the mechanism that powers it.

Applied Index Markers

Applied bar-style indexes mark the hours around the perimeter of the dial, finished in blue to stand out clearly against the lighter dial base. Their raised profile adds a layer of dimensionality to the open dial layout.

Automatic Movement on Display

The caseback features a sapphire-clear window that reveals the automatic movement from the rear, including its rotor and gear assembly. The reverse view complements the open dial, giving the wearer two distinct perspectives on the same mechanism.

Brushed Steel Finish

The case is finished in brushed stainless steel, giving it a clean, directional texture that catches light without becoming overly reflective. The 43mm diameter offers a confident presence on the wrist while keeping a 13mm case thickness that sits comfortably under a cuff.

Crafted Leather Band

The strap is made from genuine leather, finished with a embossed pattern that adds texture and visual depth. At 21mm wide, it pairs naturally with the proportions of the case and complements the mechanical character of the dial.

Hardlex Protective Crystal

A Hardlex crystal covers the dial, engineered for greater scratch resistance in everyday wear. It keeps the open-worked mechanism clearly visible while standing up to the daily handling a watch goes through.

Worn With Intention

On the wrist, the case proportions strike a balance between presence and comfort, sitting naturally whether paired with a shirt cuff or worn bare-wristed.

Everyday Mechanical Detail

The open dial construction keeps the mechanism in constant view, turning a simple glance at the time into a moment of detail most watches keep hidden.

Built for Daily Wear

The case and strap are shaped to move with the wrist, keeping the watch settled and secure through the course of a full day.

What customers are saying

Michael Bennett

Michael Bennett

The case sits at 13mm and slides easily under a dress shirt cuff without adding bulk. After three weeks of daily wear, the automatic movement has kept remarkably consistent time. I find myself checking the skeleton dial more often than I expected.

Turning the wrist to watch the rotor spin through the caseback has become a small ritual before meetings. The finishing on the bridges is sharper than I anticipated at this price point. It has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I was not expecting much from the 30M rating but it has handled hand washing and rain without issue. The crown operates smoothly and the crystal has not picked up a single scratch yet. Solid for an everyday piece.

The automatic movement has lost barely two seconds over the past month, which surprised me given the open construction. Watching the gear train work through the dial never gets old. A serious mechanical watch for the money.

The leather strap broke in within a few days and now sits comfortably through long work hours. Stitching is even along both edges with no loose threads after two months. The buckle closes securely without catching on cuffs.

Daniel Carter

At 43mm the case has enough presence without looking oversized on my wrist. Colleagues have asked about it more than once during meetings. The skeleton dial draws a second look every time.

Arrived in a sturdy box that made it easy to gift to myself for a work milestone. The watch itself feels heavier and more substantial than the photos suggested. Six weeks in, the movement has kept steady time.

Reading the time on a fully open dial took some adjustment but the indexes are positioned well enough that it is never a struggle. The mechanism underneath is genuinely interesting to look at during quiet moments. Good weight without feeling heavy.

I cycle to work most days and the 13mm case thickness has not been an issue under a jacket sleeve. The exhibition caseback shows the rotor clearly even in low light. Better build quality than I expected at this price.
