Jacob Pagani® Pelagic
AUTOMATIC DIVER BUILT FOR 200 METRES.
ABOUT THIS WATCH
The Pelagic is built around a set of convictions that rarely come together in a single case: a cushion-shaped stainless steel body with real presence on the wrist, a movement you can see working from the back, and water resistance rated to 200 metres. It is a diver's watch in the truest sense, designed to perform where the conditions are demanding and to look considered everywhere else.
The 41 MM stainless steel case houses an automatic movement, CAL. 2C10, visible through an exhibition caseback with a sapphire crystal window. The dial follows a structured dual subdial layout with luminous hands and indexes, a date display at 6 o'clock, and a screw crown for water integrity. The rotating bezel in brushed stainless steel carries graduated markings with legible numeric references. A textured nylon strap completes the build, chosen for its behaviour under water and its character above it.
Three dial colours extend the Pelagic across different contexts and aesthetics — each one its own version of the same instrument. Worn to the pool, the sea, or across a working week on land, the Pelagic is a watch that makes its purpose clear without announcing it.
Graduated Bezel Markings
The bezel carries graduated markings with numeric references at key positions, providing a clear visual scale around the dial. The brushed steel surface reduces surface glare while keeping the markings immediately readable, making the bezel a functional part of the watch rather than a decorative frame.
Knurled Bezel Edge
The outer edge of the bezel is knurled for grip, allowing the bezel to be turned with confidence even in wet conditions. The textured ridge wraps the full circumference of the case, giving the Pelagic its characteristic profile when viewed from the side.
Dual Subdial Layout
The dial organises its information across two dedicated subdials positioned on the left and right of centre. The left subdial carries a minutes counter with its own hand and circular index track. The right subdial presents a secondary display with DOWN and HAUT indications. The arrangement creates visual depth and keeps each function clearly separated without crowding the dial surface.
Luminous Hands & Indexes
The main hands are sword-shaped with a polished silver finish and carry luminous fill across their full length. The indexes around the dial are circular with luminous centres, while the rectangular marker at 12 o'clock establishes a clear directional reference. Together, the hands and indexes build a dial that reads immediately in any light condition.
Visible Automatic Movement
The caseback features a sapphire crystal window that keeps the automatic movement visible during wear. The CAL. 2C10 runs on the natural motion of the wrist without requiring a battery, and the exhibition window allows the mechanics to remain part of the ownership experience — a reminder that the watch is working with every movement of the arm.
Cushion-Shaped Case
The Pelagic is built around a cushion-shaped case in stainless steel, a form that balances substantial wrist presence with a silhouette that avoids the sharp corners of a conventional round or square case. At 41 MM across and 14.5 MM thick, it wears with clear authority without becoming cumbersome.
Screw Crown & Water Integrity
The crown is fitted with a screw-down mechanism that reinforces the case seal and contributes to the 200M water resistance rating. The crown itself is deeply knurled for grip and sits flush with the case profile once secured, maintaining the clean lines of the side view.
Textured Nylon Construction
The strap is constructed from a textured nylon weave with contrast stitching that matches the dial colour of each variant. At 22 MM width, it connects to the case through integrated lugs and closes with a hook buckle in steel. The nylon construction is well-suited to active use and gives the Pelagic a character distinct from a steel bracelet.
Worn on the Wrist
The Pelagic wears with the kind of quiet authority that comes from a well-proportioned case on a wrist with some substance to it. The cushion form and textured strap give the watch a character that reads as purposeful rather than decorative.
Dial at Rest
With the dial facing upward and the strap falling naturally around the hand, the structured layout of the Pelagic becomes clear: a watch built for readability first, with the dual subdial arrangement giving the dial a presence that scales naturally with the case.
Built for Motion
The Pelagic is designed for a wrist that moves. The automatic movement winds through daily activity, and the 200M water resistance means the watch goes where the day goes — without adjustment or reservation.
Got questions about the Pelagic?
Everything you need to know before you order.
The Pelagic is powered by the CAL. 2C10 automatic movement, which winds through the natural motion of the wrist during daily wear. Manual winding is not required under regular use conditions. No battery is needed at any point.
The Pelagic is rated to 200M (20 ATM), making it suitable for swimming and recreational water activities. The screw crown contributes to the seal integrity of the case. As with any water-resistant watch, the crown should be fully secured before water exposure.
The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which is engineered for greater scratch resistance in everyday wear. The same material is used on the exhibition caseback window, keeping the movement visible without compromising the rear seal.
The left subdial carries a minutes counter with its own dedicated hand and circular index track. The right subdial presents a secondary display with DOWN and HAUT indications. The date is displayed separately at 6 o'clock via a dedicated window. These functions are independent of one another and organised to keep the dial readable at a glance.
The Pelagic is available in three variants: Onyx, Terrain, and Atlantic. Each variant includes the same stainless steel case, sapphire crystal, CAL. 2C10 movement, and 200M water resistance. The variants differ in dial colour and matching nylon strap, each with its own contrast stitching. All three ship with the same specifications and build quality.
