ABOUT THIS WATCH

The Solaris is the chronograph for the man who measures his days with intention. Structured around a tachymetre-scaled bezel and three symmetrically placed subdials, its dial reads with an immediacy that holds attention without demanding it. It is not a watch that announces itself loudly — it simply holds its ground on the wrist, whether the setting is a boardroom or a weekend drive.

Construction is centered on confirmed, tangible choices: a stainless steel case at 40 MM, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating that helps preserve visual clarity across changing light conditions, and a Japan TMI VK63 quartz movement chosen for its chronograph precision. The bracelet is stainless steel throughout, with a folding safety clasp. Water resistance is rated to 100M, covering swimming and everyday exposure without reservation.

At 40 MM, the Solaris sits at the intersection of sport and refinement — large enough to carry presence, disciplined enough to disappear beneath a shirt cuff. It is a watch designed for daily ownership: worn on Monday, worn on Saturday, noticed without occasion.

Three Subdials, One Clear Read

The Solaris organizes chronograph information across three subdials arranged symmetrically on the dial surface. The layout keeps each function visually separated, allowing the eyes to navigate immediately without scanning. Luminous hands and indices extend that legibility into low-light conditions.

Date Display at a Glance

A date window sits at the lower portion of the dial, integrated without interrupting the overall composition. The date function operates continuously, offering a practical reference point without requiring a second movement or complication.

Speed Scale Built Into the Bezel

The Solaris carries a tachymetre scale around its bezel, printed in high-contrast numerals against the dark bezel surface. The scale runs from 60 to 500, providing a visual reference for speed measurement in conjunction with the chronograph function. It is a functional element that also shapes the character of the watch — the numerals give the dial an unmistakably sport-focused presence without the use of excess decoration.

Japanese Quartz Chronograph Precision

The Solaris runs on the TMI VK63, a Japan-origin quartz movement built for chronograph accuracy. The VK63 uses a mechanical clutch system to drive the chronograph hand, giving it the sweep-second feel of a mechanical watch while maintaining quartz-level timing reliability. Consistent, daily operation without interruption.

AR-Coated Sapphire for Visual Clarity

The crystal over the Solaris dial is sapphire, treated with an anti-reflective coating. Sapphire crystal is engineered for greater scratch resistance in everyday wear, and the AR treatment helps preserve visual clarity across lighting conditions — reducing surface glare that can obscure dial legibility in bright environments. The result is a crystal that remains functionally transparent whether the watch faces direct sunlight or diffused indoor light.

Five-Link Steel Bracelet with Folding Clasp

The bracelet of the Solaris is built from stainless steel in a five-link configuration, tapering from the case toward the clasp with a proportional reduction that suits the 40 MM case. A combination of brushed and polished surfaces creates visual contrast throughout the bracelet. The folding safety clasp secures the bracelet with a dual-action closure.

The Right Scale for Every Day

A 40 MM chronograph that transitions without adjustment — from a structured week to a casual weekend. The dial reads clearly regardless of context, and the steel bracelet holds its finish through daily use.

Worn With Purpose

The Solaris at 40 MM carries exactly the right amount of wrist presence — structured enough to hold attention, compact enough to move freely. The steel bracelet follows the line of the wrist without bulk, and the dial remains legible in a single glance.

Built to Be Worn

The Solaris is designed for the wrist, not for the display case. The folding clasp closes securely, the bracelet sits flat, and the three subdials remain organized and readable whether the arm is moving or at rest.

Ordered the Solaris after comparing it with several options in the same price range. The VK63 movement gives the chronograph hand a smooth sweep that you rarely see at this level. Solid on the wrist and the sapphire crystal has held up well after two months of daily use.

The 40 MM case is a good size for everyday wear. Not too large, sits flat under a shirt cuff. The bracelet has a nice combination of finishes and the folding clasp feels secure. Satisfied with the build quality overall.

Bought this as a daily chronograph for work and travel. The dial is clean and easy to read at a glance, which matters more than people realize. The AR coating on the crystal makes a real difference in bright light.

The Solaris arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. What stood out immediately was the weight, 140 grams on the wrist feels substantial without being uncomfortable. The bracelet taper from case to clasp is well proportioned.

Three months in and the sapphire crystal has no visible marks. I work with my hands regularly and was expecting some wear. The AR coating keeps the dial readable even in direct sunlight, which was a concern before buying.

Good chronograph for the price. The tachymetre bezel is clear and functional, the subdials are well laid out. I use the date function daily and it has been reliable. No complaints after six weeks of use.

The blue dial version looks sharp with a suit. The bracelet polishes up easily and the folding clasp has not loosened at all since I bought it. Solid everyday watch that does not ask for attention but earns it.

Compact enough for a 40 MM case. The stainless steel bracelet links are well finished and the overall construction feels dense without being heavy. The VK63 keeps good time and the chronograph works cleanly.

I was skeptical about a quartz chronograph at this size but the VK63 changes that perception. The sweep of the seconds hand is noticeably smoother than standard quartz. Good daily watch with real character.

The Solaris sits well on a smaller wrist, which is not always the case with sport chronographs. The case profile is slim enough to fit under a jacket without bulk. Everything about it feels considered.

Purchased as a replacement for a watch I had been wearing for years. The sapphire crystal was the deciding factor. Two months in and the surface looks untouched. The date display is readable and well integrated into the dial.

The bracelet is the highlight for me. Five-link construction with a brushed center and polished edges, the contrast reads as premium without being flashy. The clasp closes with a solid click and stays that way.

Wore the Solaris on a week-long trip that included rain and a few hours near the water. No issues at all with the 100M water resistance. The dial was readable in all conditions and the bracelet showed no signs of wear.

Good first chronograph. The three subdials are logically arranged and you learn to read them quickly. The tachymetre scale is actually useful once you understand it. Well built and comfortable for all-day wear.

Bought for work and weekend use. The Solaris handles both without looking out of place in either setting. The white dial version with the black subdials has strong visual contrast that makes legibility effortless.

The bracelet length is good for a standard wrist out of the box. The clasp adjustment worked well without needing a watchmaker. Packaging was clean and the watch arrived without any damage or scratches.

Six weeks of daily use, including gym sessions and outdoor work. Water resistance held as described and the bracelet has not loosened. The movement keeps accurate time and the chronograph resets cleanly.

The 14 MM case thickness is noticeable in hand but comfortable on the wrist. Sits higher than a dress watch but lower than most sport watches in this category. Good balance for a piece you can wear every day.

The sapphire crystal with AR coating was the main reason I chose this model. After four months of use it still looks as clear as day one. The dial stays readable from any angle, even with light coming directly at it.

Solid chronograph that wears its 40 MM well. The Jacob Pagani® packaging was clean and the watch was protected properly during shipping. Set it up in minutes and it has been on my wrist almost every day since.
